Temperatures in parts of South Australia could reach as high as 45 degrees this weekend, experts predict.
A mass of warm air, which has already caused temperatures to climb over 40 degrees in parts of Western Australia, will move south towards the end of the week.
Weatherzone believes the hottest weather will be seen on Sunday, with temperatures in South Australia expected to reach 45 degrees.
"Temperatures could challenge the SA record this weekend, with parts of the state's North West Pastoral District forecast to reach 45 degrees on Sunday," Weatherzone said.
Experts are also warning the hot, dry weather and winds will lead to increased bushfire danger in southern parts of Australia.
