WEST GLACIER - The iconic Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park closed for the season on Tuesday afternoon.

An alert from the park states the road is now closed between Avalanche Pass and Logan Pass.

Access to other sections, including hiker/biker, may change due to weather.

The famed road opened for the season on June 16.
