CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — A 47-year-old Jan-Care Ambulance employee is accused of stealing a medication case from the Stonewood station to try to shore up his finances.
Senior Trooper N.P. Clifton has charged Kenneth James Arehart with possession with intent to deliver.
Arehart's bond was set at $25,000 by Harrison Magistrate Kevin Renzelli, after Arehart pleaded not guilty.
Presumed innocent, Arehart is accused of stealing a case containing several controlled substances in vials, including fentanyl, Versed and Ativan.
The case had been missing since Oct. 8; Clifton got a tip on Tuesday that pointed towards Arehart, according to the complaint.
Clifton, Bridgeport State Police Detachment Sgt. Roger Glaspell and State Police Cpl. Baron Claypool then raided Arehart's residence on Cri
