MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WV News) — The Monongalia County Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss a series of financial and administrative matters, including the district’s 2025 financial statements, student discipline cases, and updates on ongoing facility projects.
The meeting, held on Earl L. Core Road, opened with a presentation from Mike Rufo of Anchor Management Group and Tarkett Sports, who discussed athletic facility improvements. The presentation came ahead of potential major renovations at Mon County schools, including revamping baseball and softball fields as well as tennis courts. The board later approved an agreement with the group.
