IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Between being ranked No. 21 in the Associated Press Preseason Poll, to selling out season tickets for the third consecutive year, there’s a lot of buzz surrounding the Iowa women’s basketball team. The Hawkeyes are made up of nine underclassmen, which Jan Jensen says is the youngest squad they’ve had since 2012.

“I think we’re planting a lot of seeds for this year, and we’re going to be using a lot of water with that patience. I think it’s not only this year, but in everything that will come after this year,” Jensen said.

Iowa has three returning starters from last season’s squad who made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Believe it or not, Cedar Rapids native Hannah Stuelke is entering her senior campaign.
