HARRISONVILLE, Mo. (KCTV) - Harrisonville High School needs your help. The Wildcats are one of 25 finalists for T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights competition, where the winner receives a $1 million athletic facility upgrade.
Harrisonville is the only school from either Kansas or Missouri to reach this point of the competition. Their Top 25 spot earned them $25,000 as a finalist, but they have their eyes on the top prize.
The school’s scoreboard was struck by lightning and does not work, and they need other facility upgrades, including the weight room. One Harrisonville senior told KCTV5 the million-dollar grand prize would help the entire community.
“The buzz has been great,” said Wildcat senior Keller Johnson. “It’s a true opportunity for the community to come together for a good cause
