The supervisor of a welfare home for boys in Hyderabad was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly sexually assaulting at least two minor children who were in his care.

While two of the children and their parents have approached the Hyderabad police, officials of the Women and Child Welfare Department said further enquiries have revealed that two more children could have been sexually assaulted by the same person.

The alleged assault came to light when one of the boys went home for Dussehra holidays and reported his plight to his mother. The mother filed a police complaint, leading to the accused’s detention on Monday. He was formally arrested on Tuesday.
