If you live in North Idaho, there's a good chance you could go ahead and cast your vote early ahead of the November 4 election.

As the General Election approaches, several Idaho counties are offering early voting so residents can make sure their votes are counted.

"Early voting is now underway in many Idaho counties ahead of the November 4 local elections. Whether you vote early, absentee, or on Election Day, I encourage every eligible Idahoan to participate," said Idaho Secretary of State Phil McGrane. "Local elections play a critical role in shaping our communities."

If you are not yet registered to vote, you can register and cast your ballot early by bringing an to your local election office. A current Idaho driver's license often meets both requirements.
