ST. CLOUD, Minn. — A staff member at an assisted living facility in St. Cloud was asleep when a resident called for emergency assistance last month, according to state officials.
The Minnesota Department of Health recently investigated Cure Home Health, Inc. following an incident where a caretaker allegedly failed to respond to calls from a resident. According to investigators, the alleged maltreatment resulted in the resident needing emergency care for abdominal pain and low blood sugar.
"The Minnesota Department of Health determined neglect was substantiated," the MDH maltreatment report reads, adding that the staff member "was responsible for the maltreatment."
