KNOXVILLE, Tenn — In the mountains of East Tennessee, you will see coyotes, which is not always a good thing. However, three coyotes at Lakeshore Park in Knoxville do not have people running away.
"They look extremely real," Chris Hildebrand from Knoxville said.
The idea of the coyotes is to keep birds away. Those certain birds are geese.
"I think it's a great idea," Peggy Jenkins, also from Knoxville, said.
"When we start to seed new lawns and. The grass starts to grow, the geese come flying in and start eating the grass and the seed and leave us with quite a mess,"Lake Shore Park Executive Director Julieanne Foy said.
Foy said that with how close the park is to the nearby lake, it attracts geese.
