CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Elms College hosted the annual Mary Dooley Lecture Series in Chicopee, where community members gathered to explore themes of critical thinking and spirituality.

The event featured Ryan McLaughlin, a religious studies professor from Saint Elizabeth University, who delivered a lecture titled 'What are Humans, Anyway? - The 'Human' Behind 'Human Dignity.' The lecture aimed to rethink and explore the concept of human dignity.

"Trying to kind of bridge that gap between the human and non-human... thinking of ourselves as interconnected... to me that's a really important thing," McLaughlin said, emphasizing the philosophical and scientific grounding of his message.
