LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Southwest Softball enters the 2025 state tournament with the best record in Class A. The Silver Hawks are the 3-seed in the state tournament and hold a 31-3 record this season.

“This is the closest team that we’ve ever had. They are definitely a family. They push each other and they got each other’s back and it’s been a lot of fun,” Lincoln Southwest Head Softball Coach, Mitchell Ohnoutka, said.

The Silver Hawks success this season is in large part because of their hot hitting. LSW is led by seniors Brenly Noerrlinger and Taylor Siefken who are both have a batting average over .500 this Fall. (2 of 16 batters averaging .500 or better in the state)
