WILCOX, Ariz. (13 News) - Apple Annie’s is all out of apples.

The orchard announced Tuesday afternoon that its trees have all been picked clean this season.

Apple Annie’s Director of Fun Mandy Kirkendall said they had a huge crop last year, which can really wear down the trees.

Kirkendall said the extremely hot summer and dry winter made things worse.

“Finally got some rain now, but we’ve been dry for so long that it’s really hard on the trees,” Kirkendall said.

She explained that’s just how farming goes.

With a smaller crop, they weren’t able to last the entire season as they’d hoped, despite trying to ration how many trees were available to visitors.

Luckily, there will still be apples available, but they’ve been pre-picked from another orchard.
