TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Months ago, the city of Tucson announced its new initiative, STAR Village. It’s an outdoor safe sleep shelter to aid in Tucson’s homeless crisis.

The project has stirred controversy across the community, and now, the city is providing a look inside a day before it’s set to open.

“Well, information is power, right? People want to know what’s happening, and so we’re providing the opportunity for people to come in and see it for themselves,” said Tisha Tallman, the CEO of the Primavera Foundation. “We want to make sure we’re debunking myths and providing the most information and up-to-date information as possible for the community.”
