BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio – The city will pay a Twinsburg transportation engineering firm $15,200 to study traffic flow on Broadview Road between Ohio 82 and Akins Road .

TMS Engineers Inc. will help determine if more lanes are needed on this 2,500-foot stretch of Broadview, especially now that the city is planning to build a new fire station within that corridor.

“The city is experiencing congestion between (82) and Akins Road during peak hours,” Ethan Neff, city engineer, told Councilwoman Jennifer Mahnic in a Tuesday (Oct. 14) email.

Neff said if the TMS study concludes that additional lanes are needed, the city would include the study in an application for state and/or federal funds that would help pay for road construction.
