Wrong location
Regarding the article City eyes 401-area industrial park for 60 homeless ‘micro-shelters’ (Oct. 8).
City council’s plan to spend $7 million building these units too far from available services, including transit, is not the right thing to do.
There are many lots in and around the core, including along York Street near Colborne Street, which are nearer necessary services.
Homeless folks want exactly what everyone else does, so forcing them to live this far away seems cruel.
I hope council sees the error in their logic and makes a better decision.
