Delawareans are taking stock after a storm slammed the beaches with elevated high tides, heavy surf and high winds Oct. 12 and 13.

The nor'easter caused erosion and scarping on Delaware's bay and ocean beaches, but the dunes did their job, Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control Shoreline and Waterway Management Section Administrator Joshua Lippert said. No structural damage was reported or observed statewide.
