It was an emotional night on Dancing with the Stars .

Week 5 of season 34 of the competition , which aired Tuesday, Oct. 14, was Dedication Night. Through their performances, the 10 remaining couples paid tribute to influential people in their lives.

Tears flowed as contestants Danielle Fishel , Alix Earle , Andy Richter , Elaine Hendrix , Jordan Chiles , Dylan Efron , Scott Hoying , Robert Irwin , Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt shared stories about their loved ones.

And for the first time on the show, the friends and family members selected by each celebrity contestant for their dedications joined them on the ballroom floor.
