MINOT — "They got pulled out, and these officers and BCI agents are taking their phones."

That's how one mother of a Davies High School student learned her son was part of an investigation into explicit images and videos circulated among students at multiple North Dakota schools.

This mom, who I'll call Susan, said her son plays on the football team and reported to a meeting after coaches told him he had to meet with law enforcement officers. At that meeting, agents from the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation seized her son's phone, along with those of other students at the Fargo school.

She received a call from an adult with knowledge of the situation who told her about it.
