Benjamin Hable of Birnamwood in Shawano County is running for Congress to increase transgender and youth representation on Capitol Hill.

The former electrical engineer who identifies as gender fluid had no specific policy agenda other than to get more youth into Congress, Hable said in an interview with the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

“I can’t do everything. No one can,” Hable said. “I’ve got to focus on what the dumpster fire of today is. Anyone that says they have this big policy that they’re coming to Congress with, they’re laughing you out of the building and tell you to throw it away.”
