The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Wednesday for the seventh time in eight days, decreasing a half-cent to $4.704.
The average price has dropped 2.5 cents over the past eight days, including seven-tenths of a cent Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The run began with five consecutive decreases, then was interrupted by an increase of one-tenth of a cent Monday. The run resumed on Tuesday.
The average price is 2.4 cents less than one week ago and nine-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago and 9.3 cents more than one year ago. It has decreased $1.789 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
