Officials with the fire department said at least 14 cars are in the collapse zone.
The focus now is on the integrity of the parking garage, which is believed to be 12 stories tall.
The police commissioner and the mayor in White Plains said they want to make sure they can shore up the building so people who have cars inside can get them out at some point.
