Happy Hump Day. Another mild day with drier air is in store for the Tennessee Valley this afternoon. Highs will range in the lower 80s. overnight lows will drop into the 50s. Sunshine and warmth will dominate the forecast through Saturday. Our next solid rain chances approach late Saturday night into Sunday morning. A cold front will bring in a line of showers and thunderstorms across much of the viewing area. As of today, the severe weather threat appears very low. We will continue to monitor this system, but overall, the forecast indicates heavy rain, some gusty winds that could cause tree damage and power outages for some, and lightning.
