ERIN, Wis. (WFRV) – A home valued at $1.5 million was destroyed after a fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in the Town of Erin.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies were notified of the fire on the 2000 block of County Highway K just before 3 p.m. A neighbor reported the blaze, telling emergency services the home was fully engulfed in flames.

No one was inside the house at the time, and one of the homeowners was on scene. The Hartford Fire Department responded and began fire suppression efforts, but the large, multi-story residence was deemed a total loss.

The home, built in 1985, was approximately 4,400 square feet. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
