MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) - The man accused of fatally shooting another man in Manitowoc on September 23, Kirk Dunn, appeared in court on Wednesday for a hearing where he pleaded not guilty.

Court records show that 20-year-old Kirk Dunn had an arraignment hearing on October 15. Dunn is accused of shooting and killing a 25-year-old man at a Dewey Street apartment and has previously claimed self-defense.

During Wednesday's hearing, Dunn pleaded not guilty, and a scheduling conference was set for December 19 at 10 a.m.

According to the criminal complaint, detectives said the victim was found near South 17th Street with multiple gunshot wounds. An autopsy determined he had been shot three times.
