A made-in-Chatham remake of the iconic American radio broadcast of the War of the Worlds nearly 90 years ago is now available across the globe.
Voices in the Wind Audio Theatre has released its version of the broadcast, made famous by actor Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre On The Air, which first aired Oct. 30, 1938 and resulted in mass chaos when numerous listeners believed Earth was being invaded by Martians.

David Farquhar, executive producer of Voices in the Wind Audio Theatre, said the made-in-Chatham production was aired on Oct. 31, 2007 as part of the 80th anniversary celebrations for CFCO 630 AM/92.9 FM radio.
The tape had been tucked away until recently when Farquhar found it while going through an old box of audio tapes.
“It’s been 18 years, so when I
