Folks, it’s official. Russell Westbrook’s found a new home. Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management confirmed to ESPN that Westbrook has landed with the Sacramento Kings.

After facing harsh reality with no contract or team, the 2017 MVP’s back on a roster just ahead of the season opener. After years as a starter and multiple team stops, he’s expected to slide into a bench role behind newly signed starting point guard Dennis Schroder.

Westbrook has 1,237 games in the books, most spent carrying starting duties. His first 11 years with the Oklahoma City Thunder were gorgeous: 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game. He had shorter stints with the Washington Wizards, Denver Nuggets, and Houston Rockets before landing in Los Angeles with the Clippers and Lakers.
