GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Northeast Wisconsin Technical College hosted its first My Future Brown County event, giving students a full day of hands-on learning experiences.

Hosted on campus, more than 500 students from 19 area schools learned about and explored future careers in the skilled trades.

Students took part in real-world activities in fields such as construction, fire and rescue, electrical, plumbing, heavy equipment operation, cabinetry, and more.

The skilled trades are needed now more than ever, as a recent study showed the construction industry alone must recruit an estimated 439,000 new workers to meet demand in 2025.
