SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WFRV) - The Sheboygan Police Department has launched an investigation into a report of an attempted strong-arm robbery at a local bank's ATM.

Officers say that they responded to the UnitedOne Credit Union on Superior Avenue around 11 a.m. on October 15 for reports of an attempted robbery.

It was noted that, based on preliminary information, the incident was a targeted event, and the suspects have fled the Sheboygan area. Officers say that no weapons were displayed and no injuries were reported.

The case remains under active investigation.
