TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Manatee County Sheriff's Office Crimes Against Children detectives charged a former Sarasota County school security aide with sexually abusing a teenager.
The Sarasota County School Police reported allegations of sexual misconduct involving a school employee and a student to MCSO on Aug. 12.
According to the MCSO, the school employee, Daniel Wilson, 42, befriended a 17-year-old Booker High School student and offered her a place to stay at his Manatee County home.
The victim stayed at Wilson's home in Bradenton, where Wilson committed sexual battery against her, MCSO said. The victim told investigators that Wilson gave her a possible drug she referred to as "Moonshine Rock" and coerced her into smoking this substance.
