LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
After just more than a year on the job, the Muhammad Ali Center's president and CEO is stepping down.
The Ali Center Board of Directors announced Wednesday DeVone Holt would be stepping down from the role.
He will be transitioning out of the role on Oct. 24.
The Ali Center and Holt have not released further details about why he is stepping down.
Holt was named president and CEO of the Ali Center in July 2024.
Taking over in the interim will be Yolanda "Lonnie" Ali, Muhammad Ali's wife and co-founder of the center.
"She will guide the organization through this transition in close collaboration with its experienced leadership team and staff," Ali Center officials said in a statement.
The board will conduct an international search for Holt's permanent replacement.
