BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — She served our nation's military for more than two decades, and now, she continues to find a way to serve our country's troops. Nikki Frohlich shares her story of how the military life is all she's ever known since the day she was born.

"I remember playing around with my mom's old army uniforms, and playing army with my older brother," said Frohlich.

Nikki Frohlich comes from a family with military roots that run deep. And it's those very roots that kick-started her military career.

She said, "Both my parents were active duty Army; they met in the Army - got married…I have an older brother who also joined the Army National Guard…And followed my older brother into the Army National Guard, and I was really just planning on just six years of my first initial enlistme
