My kids are at the age where they love "helping" around the house. They don't want to fold their laundry or pick up their rooms, you know, things that would actually help. No, they'd like to hammer a nail into the wall for a picture and measure our bathroom vanity for a replacement. (What is it with kids and tape measures?)

As someone who shouldn't be trusted to wield a wrench in most situations, I can't relate. But I can say it drives my husband up a wall when they grab stuff from his tool set and run around the house with it. It's annoying at best and dangerous at worst, so when I heard about a line of kid-safe tools, I jumped at the chance to try them.
