CANTON, New York (WWNY) - St. Lawrence University freshman Anastaja Smith had just finished an exam when crossing paths with White’s Flowers owner Ed Palmer.
“This is probably the third time in my life getting flowers,” she said.
Unknowingly, she was a part of something called ‘Petal It Forward’.
White’s Flowers does it each October. On Wednesday, Palmer drove around Canton, giving away bouquets in the community.
“We pull over and give them the flowers,” said Palmer. “It’s great. Sometimes I’ve had people cry, but most of the time it’s joy. They’re excited to get the flowers.”
This trip, Palmer handed 2 bouquets to 15 people. One for them to keep. One bouquet for them to give away to spread kindness.
For some, the give-away bouquets went to coworkers, while others gave it some though
