LEWISTON, Idaho — An 11-year-old boy was hit by a car on Wednesday morning in Lewiston and was later life-flighted to Spokane hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Lewiston Police Department says officers responded to the intersection of 21st Street and 11th Avenue just before 8 a.m. on Wednesday. LPD says initial information indicates that the boy was hit by a 21-year-old driving a Ford F-150 while the boy was crossing the street.
Police say the driver of the truck stayed on scene and told police he was turning right and had a green light at the time of the collision. LPD says impairment was not a factor in the collision.
