A Buchanan man is headed to prison for his sixth drunk driving conviction.
48-year-old Rodney Allen Stuart pleaded guilty to third-offense drunk driving and was sentenced Monday to 18 months to five years in prison, with credit for 60 days served.
His driver’s license was revoked, and he must pay more than $1,500 in fines and costs.
The March 16 incident in Buchanan revealed Stuart’s blood alcohol level was .157—nearly twice the legal limit—and he also had THC in his system.
Leader Publications says Stuart’s record includes eight felonies and 14 misdemeanors.
