SLIDELL, La. — The Slidell Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that happened near Possum Hollow Park on Wednesday.

Around 5 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area. When they arrived, they found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The person was taken to the hospital, where they later died.
