MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - The starting 11 for Minot High boys soccer at this week’s state tournament will look a lot different from the 2024 squad that took fourth place. The Magi’s three goals at state last season were all scored and assisted by seniors.

It’s a new forward line in 2025, one that includes your SERVPRO Athlete of the Week, Tayson Solper.

There’s an art to finding the back of the net.

“There’s a lot going on in your mind right there. Do you shoot it right away? Do you take another touch, and if you take another touch, is it already too late? Do you go right, do you go left, do you go over them, or do you go through them?” said Solper.

It’s an art form that the Minot junior is working to master in his first year in the starting lineup.
