A prolific Middlesbrough beggar has been jailed for defecating at the back of a Teesside library. Stephen Crozier admitted outraging public decency at Acklam Library on September 11.

Court documents state that the 59-year-old “behaved in an indecent manner” by “defecating the rear of the back of the library” on Acklam Road, Middlesbrough. He has also been jailed for breaching his criminal behaviour order twice, which was put in place on November 19, last year.

Crozier was “begging for money outside a commercial premises” on Linthorpe Road on September 10. He was also “sat on a floor outside a commercial premises” in Middlesbrough on September 11.
