Welcoming millions of guests per year, Banff National Park continues to surge in popularity. As expected, thanks to the Canada Strong Pass, visitor numbers have surged for the national park this year.

Although this is great, it also created lots of issues.

Just getting into Banff National Park on the weekends has been a struggle . With congestion issues taking center stage, several suggestions have been made to mitigate the congestion. Among the proposed solutions back in August was an international tourist tax .

Despite the suggestion, that isn't the solution. Parks Canada is actively working on ways to mitigate congestion, especially in the long term.
