BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. — A large tract of historic land in Blythewood is up for sale for the first time in more than two centuries and its location near the new Scout Motors plant is drawing interest.
Crosby Land Company has listed 60.94 acres of land located near Fulmer Road and Mt. Valley Road. Known as the Price Family Farm, the property has been held by the same family since 1795. It's now being offered for sale at $1.7 million.
The land is surrounded by homes and woodland and sits in a quiet, rural part of Blythewood. But that may not last forever — with the Scout Motors EV manufacturing facility under construction just a few miles away, the area is already seeing signs of growth.
Karen Yip, owner of Yip Real Estate, says the decision for the owner to sell likely comes as the region ex
