[WASHINGTON COUNTY, Iowa] — A Washington County animal shelter is urgently seeking donations following the rescue of 23 animals from a rural property.
Paws and More reported that authorities found 29 animals on the property, but six were deceased. Twelve of the rescued animals are now under the shelter's care, though they are in poor health and require veterinary attention and comfort.
The shelter is accepting towels and blankets for the rescued animals at their location in Washington. Monetary donations can be made through their Facebook page .
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Animal Rescue League assisted in the rescue.
