ST. HELENA ISLAND, S.C. (WSAV) — While the community waits for justice, they’re continuing to gather across the northern Beaufort County community to honor the lives lost early Sunday morning.

Two community organized events took place Wednesday evening.

A praise concert was led out front of Willie’s Bar and Grill where the shooting took place, and a group with the Kingdom of Praise Church also led a prayer gathering in the Staples parking lot in Beaufort.

The St. Helena community, which spans across the entire county, said they’re devastated, and they’re looking to find who’s responsible.

They hoped they would find answers this morning after Beaufort County Sheriff PJ Tanner addressed the media through a Q&A press conference.
