QUINCY (WGEM) - The Quincy Children’s Museum is helping to build and grow the next generation of news anchors and meteorologists.

The museum, with the help of some WGEM employees has transformed their Discovery Loft into “The WGEM Experience.”

“About every three to four months we totally change it and flip it to something new each time and so you never know what’s going to be here and so currently it is the WGEM newsroom,” said Karen Kroeger, the Quincy Children’s Museum Ready Set Grow coordinator. “So, we just got a hold of WGEM and asked to be partners with them, and they came up with some really great ideas and brought a lot of equipment and turned it into a very special place.”

The area is just like a news set, filled with lights, cameras, green screens and more.
