HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A man involved in a pedestrian crash in Liliha last month has died from his injuries.

The crash happened on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at around 9:10 p.m. on the Liliha Street on-ramp to the H-1 East Freeway.

According to the Honolulu Police Department, a 61-year-old male motorist was traveling southbound on Liliha Street.

Police said the 61-year-old man made a left turn onto the H-1 Freeway on a green arrow when he struck a 70-year-old male pedestrian who was crossing the road.

The 70-year-old man was crossing the road inside a marked crosswalk against the pedestrian “Do Not Walk” signal.

As a result of the crash, the 70-year-old man was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
