The shocking footage of a Melbournian chef allegedly stabbed by a stranger on Little Bourke Street in Melbourne’s CBD has been released.
Sushi chef Wan Lai, aged 36, was walking down the street on her way to work around 7:40am on October 2 when a random woman allegedly pulled a knife on her, stabbing her in the chest before fleeing the scene.
In the CCTV footage first reported by 7News , the 32-year-old alleged offender is seen fleeing the scene while holding the knife in her hand - while Ms Lai fights for her life.
The incident shocked the state as police confirmed the 32-year-old alleged attacker was on bail for other offences.
