NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY)-- A motorcyclist is hurt following a crash in Newport News Wednesday night.

According to police, officers were called to the intersection of Warwick Blvd and Raleigh Ave at 11 p.m. for the report of a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.

The driver of the motorcycle ,an adult male, was taken to the local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

All northbound lanes of Warwick Blvd at Raleigh Ave were closed but they have since reopened.
