A couple shared a distressing video which appears to show two prowlers approaching their front door in the early hours of the morning. ‌

The incident was captured by a neighbour's ring doorbell and occurred on Russell Walk, North Berwick, at around 3am on Tuesday October 14, reports Edinburgh Live. ‌

Two individuals dressed in black appear to walk down the middle of the road before creeping up to the home - one person seems to be carrying a torch device. ‌

The pair said this is the second time this has happened to them in the past seven days.

"Just to make people aware my neighbour caught these two individuals trying my door at 3am this morning," the resident said. ‌

"My wife was also woken up last week with the door being tried."
