Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt, the chaplain for the men's basketball team at Loyola Chicago who became a beloved international celebrity, will be laid to rest Thursday.

A funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Madonna della Strada Chapel on Loyola University's campus, with Rooney Hall and Mundelein Center designated as overflow spaces, according to the school.
