A murderer has been jailed for life with a minimum of 24 years for the muder of his girlfriend Rebekah Campbell.

Michael Ormandy, shouted "little tramp" and "little rat" as he was led to the cells at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday (October 16).

The 34-year-old stabbed Rebekah Campbell, 32, to death at her flat in Knowsley Heights in Huyton, Liverpool in April. The former cage fighter and boxer, who has a tattoo of the words "The Hitman" on his neck , denied the charge but was found guilty of murder on Wednesday (October 15).

Sentencing, the Honorary Recorder of Liverpool Judge Andrew Menary KC said: "This senseless and pointless killing resulted from your jealousy, desire to control her and uncontrolled, aggressive rage."
